My name is Grant Reitz, and I am an energetic leader motivated by my desire to provide, inspire, and succeed. I am committed to implementing my desires in each and everything I do to be the best family member, student, peer, and friend I can be. I'm a third year from Pottstown, PA majoring in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, minoring in International Business. My professional career consists of a previous internship as a Research Consultant Intern with UPCEA, current People and Culture Intern at Velocity Advisory Group, and incoming Growth Advisory Intern at Grant Thronton LLP. In the academic and extracurricular world, I am a tenured member within the Nittany Lion Consulting Group, former competitor for the Smeal Ethics Case Competition Team, and lastly a CM for THON Operations. Outside of my involvement you can catch me pursuing passions in physical fitness, music, and sports. It is an honor to represent this great community and being able to provide every incoming business first-year with their ‘first friend’.

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Klein and l am ecstatic to serve as the Vice President for Smeal Student Mentors. I am currently a third-year from Midlothian, VA majoring in Marketing and double minoring in Human Development & Family Studies and Information Systems Management. Outside of SSM, I am the Vice President of Marketing for Smeal Student Council and a member of Axis, a special interest organization dedicated to THON where I am currently serving as Secretary. This past summer I was a New Student Orientation Ambassador for Smeal, where I was able to help the first-year students schedule classes and learn about Smeal and its impact. In my free time love traveling, going to concerts and Penn State sporting events (specifically football and hockey), and playing the piano. I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish this year and how SSM can increase its impact on the penn state and smeal communities!
Training/Recruitment Director & Treasurer: Angelina Conley - [email protected]
My name is Angelina Conley, and I am the Training/Recruitment Director and Treasurer. I am a sophomore Finance major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and this is my first full year with Smeal Student Mentors. I am involved in THON through a committee, Rules and Regulation. That has been a fun way to get more involved in such an amazing philanthropy. I also am in Women in Business and have enjoyed fundraising for THON through them as well. I have spent the past two summers working for a local insurance agency, Slagel Insurance Agency. I complete many office manager tasks from market research to launching social media accounts for them. In my free time, I am spending time with friends, staying active, and listening to new music!

Hi everyone! My name is Kate Grauer and I am from Newtown Square, PA. I am a third year student majoring in Accounting in the Masters of Accounting program and minoring in Information Systems Management. This is my third year in Smeal Student Mentors and second year serving as Events Coordinator. Outside of SSM, I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. I am excited to continue to assist Smeal students with their transition to college and work with the Board of Directors to better the organization as a whole!

My name is Tessa Brunetti and I am the Marketing/Communications Director. in this role I look forward to raising more positive brand awareness around the Smeal Student Mentors organization! I am a junior from Flemington, New Jersey majoring in marketing. Here at Penn State I am involved in Women in Business and my sorority Alpha Xi Delta. In my past summers I have worked for a water sport company and enjoyed pursuing my passion of working on the ocean. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, run, and listen to music.

Hey! My name is Sarah Langer and I am stoked to be apart of the Smeal Student Mentor team this year as Technology Director. I am a third year student from Bucks County, Pennsylvania majoring in Management Information Systems as well as Economics. Outside of SSM, I am the president of the Management Information Systems Society as well as Web Master for the campus satire magazine. Previously, I interned in wealth management with Wealth Protection Strategies, followed by Consulting Solutions with PwC this past summer. In my free time, you can find me cooking, weightlifting, or taking photos on my camera! I can’t wait to meet more mentors this year :)
Professional Development/Alumni Relations Director: Luke Macdonald- [email protected]
My name is Luke Macdonald and I am a motivated leader with a passion for entrepreneurship and self-development. I am a second-year student from Oley, PA majoring in finance and economics. Along with academics, I founded and operate a landscape contracting company, Mulch ‘n Mowers LLC, in Berks County, PA, and serve as a teaching assistant and grader for SCM 200. On campus, I serve as the Vice President of Outreach and Marketing for Penn State Net Impact and have previously competed in the Smeal Business with Integrity Case Competition. In my free time, I am passionate about physical fitness, playing and listening to music, and Philadelphia Sports (go birds). I am .so excited to represent SSM and to facilitate a great culture for each incoming first-year student.

I am excited to be working with this exceptional student group as we provide guidance and support to the incoming first-year Smeal students by actively engaging, leading by example, and demonstrating our ability to be both a friendly face and an effective resource. As our mission states— We, the Smeal Student Mentors, aim to create the easiest adjustment possible for our first-year students. “WE ARE! Your first friend on campus and your first Smeal connection.”
I earned my Bachelors degree in Corporate Communication from the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Baltimore and my Masters degree in Education from the Pennsylvania State University where my graduate thesis focused on student support services in higher education, this has prepared me well for this most enjoyable and rewarding part of my job with Smeal Student Mentors. Having raised my family in Happy Valley, I am happy to share that I am now a proud Penn State Mom! When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our family and friends. I love kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and spending time enjoying this beautiful Pennsylvania landscape.
